Diagnostic criteria for posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome
≥ 1 acute neurological symptom (seizure, encephalopathy, confusion, headache or visual disturbances)
≥ 1 risk factor (severe hypertension or BP fluctuations, renal failure, immunosuppressant therapy, chemotherapy, eclampsia, autoimmune disorder)
Normal brain imaging, or bilateral vasogenic edema, or cytotoxic edema with pattern of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome
No alternative diagnosis
Diagnostic criteria are not met
